Karuna’s journey began in the world of hospitality, travelling across the globe as an Aviation professional. Those years shaped her understanding of exceptional service, thoughtful experiences, and the importance of making people feel truly cared for.
Her passion for storytelling later led her into theatre, films, and visual storytelling, where she discovered how emotions, spaces, and experiences come together to create lasting memories.
Her journey has deepened her belief that the most memorable gatherings are those that create genuine human connection.
Today, at DOR, she brings together hospitality, storytelling, cultural curation, and design to create celebrations that are deeply personal, thoughtfully designed, and beautifully unforgettable.
Asif - Director of Production
With over fifteen years of experience in event production, Asif has been at the forefront of designing and executing weddings, social celebrations, and large-scale events.
His expertise lies in transforming creative ideas into flawless on-ground execution through technical precision, meticulous planning, and years of production experience.
At DOR, he leads the production and execution team, ensuring that every creative vision is brought to life exactly as imagined - allowing every celebration to unfold effortlessly.
Akanksha - Director - Client Experience
Akanksha brings a thoughtful blend of creativity, planning, and guest experience to every celebration.
Having worked across corporate events, weddings, and experiential projects and having recently designed her own wedding, she understands celebrations from both a professional and a personal perspective.
At DOR, she leads the client experience, ensuring that every interaction, every milestone, and every detail of the planning journey feels smooth, collaborative, and deeply personal.
Her focus is simple: every client should feel heard, supported, and excited from the very first conversation to the final celebration.
Why We Came Together
We realized that while there are many event planners, there are few who view events as a cohesive ecosystem of design, emotion, and logistics. DOR was born out of a shared passion for elevating the “ordinary” into “extraordinary” by focusing on the “Dor” - the thread , that connects every element of a celebration.
